Jesus Christ people, I know economic troubles are bad in Detroit and your all looking for a solution but Dick DeVos is not the answer.

1. You're preaching to the choir around here, Daylin.

2. I don't know if the poll is that accurate
It all depends on Detroit's turnout, anyways. If Detroit voters turn out in a big way again, Granholm will win narrowly. Michigan is a divided state, and these elections are going to be close. The Stabenow race will likely be close, too, if Bouchard runs against her.

5. Here's the numbers from the last election
The percentage of voters need to increase in order to be a factor. Off year numbers are lower.

3. Keep remembering that Blanchard showed huge leads and..
lost. These polls aren't significant yet; it's still way too early in the game.

I suspect there is a heavy Oakland County bias in the latest poll. We'll hear from Detroiters later on.

4. I have yet to meet ONE PERSON outside of a Dem Party Meeting
who plans on voting for Granholm. Her message is *NOT* getting out, and DeVos is NOT being tied to Bush.

6. No worries
as 1gobluedem, it's still very early in the game and it's better that Granholm saves her money for closer to the election. Let DeVos spread his lies and empty promises of how he would outsource, I mean create jobs.

Look at it this way, he has spent almost $10 million pumping out his propaganda and he's still only ahead by the margin of error. The MDP has only run a few ads and the Governor's campaign hasn't spent a penny on ads. Plus, most Michiganders still blame the Bush/DeVos policies of unfair trade agreements and outsourcing for the state's economic problems. The polls have been all over the place recently and the only poll that matters is the one in November. As the MDP pick up and once Granholm starts running ads, people will realize the truth.

7. August 8 will be the great stress relief, IMHO.
Once the big run starts, this thing will shift big time. OK, we know that DeBlab has more money than Koresh, but a five percent lead and no accuarate Wayne County numbers mean about as much as pre-season predictions for the Tigers. (By the way, thanx to CMO, evened the series against the CHISOX.

I will be worried in October, not now. And when I see Gubna Pretty Eyes sometime between now and November, I will tell her what I told her when she first ran:

Make me PROUD!

Nuff said.

8. But are these people looking for
a governor who wants to make abortion illegal even with rape and incest? Are they looking for someone who supports vouchers? Is anti-union, etc? Because if that is the case, they SHOULD vote for DeVos. If that isn't the case, then they haven't even spent 2 minutes looking into what DeVos is about.
