There was a reception with the Governor on Wednesday, July 19 sponsored by Ellen Malcom from Emily's List. The Governor gave a great speech and energized the crowd.
Saturday was spent with Nancy in Farmington at their Founder's Day Parade and festival. She did a great job working the crowd and talking to people on on one.
Today was very full. Nancy debated Pan Godchaux at an event sponsored by the Huntington Woods Peace Group. She did a great job.
Then, as Nancy continued her debate, I went on to the rally for volunteers and precinct captains with John Kerry and Governor Granholm. Sandy and Andy Levin, Debbie Dingell, Marie Donegan, Andy Meisner and others spoke before the main speakers, who really stirred up the crowd.
After the rally it was on to Marie Donegan's house for a fundraiser attended by Kerry and Granholm. Nancy was present and spoke after Kerry and Granholm. There were about 50 people there and it was a thrill to be at such a small gathering with the governor and Kerry. When I said to Kerry that I know he really won, he said "I know we did." He is pretty open about admitting now that he knows he won. He and the governor are sending signals that he's is going to run again.
Take a look at my photo album at the link below. It was great getting my picture taken with both the Governor and Kerry and getting a chance to speak to each of them for a couple of minutes.

As Kerry and Granholm were leaving Marie's house, a couple of them had shown up there and were stationed on the sidewalk with their posters. The police were called, but they couldn't to anything because the protesters were on the public sidewalk. It was really disgusting.
