I just saw my first Granholm for Governor TV commercial

I thought it was a very good ad. It had a great populist theme, where she talked about going after the gas stations that were price gouging after 9/11, and making them pay back their customers. She said that some were protecting oil companies, but that she was telling the President to cap their "outrageous" profits. She said that she would always be protecting our pocketbooks.

I was very impressed with the ad, especially the populist theme. Too many of our Democratic candidates are afraid "playing the class card". Now the Republicans will probably accuse her of trying to divide Michiganians along class lines, then they'll propose a cut in the inheritance, or capital gains taxes. Perhaps both? I also thought it was great that the ad played during a Tigers' broadcast.

1. I saw my first DeVos for governor flyer yesterday

Its unintentionally (presumably) hilarious...
I thought it was satirical at first cause it went:

Do you LOVE George W Bush? If so you will LOVE Dick DeVos

I mean, I thought even most Repugs don't go there nowadays.

But, then I read through and it seemed legit and had a point by point comparison between the W and Dickie.

4. I got a phone call from a Republican pollster yesterday...

regarding the race for MI governor. The questions were:

1) if the election were held today who would you vote for
2) are you pro-life or pro-choice
3) what is your party affiliation

Looks like the DeVos campaign is tipping its hand a bit. Stay tuned after the primary, the "real" campaign is going to begin, you know, who is holier than whom and all that. O8)

6. I actually saw the ad

on Youtube. Sorry, the link wouldn't work for some reason, but there are several of her ads featured there if you search.

The ad was defintely well done and contrary to what DeVos and the Republicans are claiming there was not a single negative mention of him. We all know they wouldn't stretch the truth or even outright lie, would they?
