Now this is a caucus I could attend. livvy and I were going to get down there a little later, but I may still go earlier and go to this caucus at 10.
Hello all,
I posted about this last night at Michlib, but I wanted to give you a
heads up directly. Are you planning to go to the Michigan Democratic
Party convention this weekend in Detroit? It's free and open to the
public, so even if you're not an MDP member you are welcome to attend.
More here:
http://www.michigandems.com/convention/ And if you need a
ride, contact your county Democratic party, I think most of them are
setting up carpools.
Anyways, if you are going, don't miss the first ever bloggers' caucus
on Saturday morning. It'll be from 10am to noon, in room D31-A. Still
finalizing the agenda, but tentatively we're planning to talk about
everything from the CT election to the Roots project to how to grow
lefty political blogging in Michigan. I also have a feeling that some
candidates may be stopping by..
How you can help, is first to spread the word - email anybody you can
think of who should be invited, and blog about it on your own blog if
you're so inclined. Second, if you want to help with the planning
please reply back and I can get you in on the emails bouncing back and
forth. And third, please be there on Saturday.
Also - there will be a "bloggers row" on the convention floor, so
don't forget to bring your laptop for live-blogging at Cobo.
