What's with the gas stations sporting Cox lawn signs?
Three stations within a mile of my home have them.

I drove an extra mile to fill up at a sign-free Citgo station.

1. I haven't seen that here in Jackson however, iirc, if those stations
sell beer/wine, they are in violation of their right to sell alcohol.

Can anybody confirm this?

Big signs. If I had a truck, I might be tempted to go offroad and plow right through the son of a bitch. I was certainly tempted already as it is. You just know what kind of person puts up a sign like that and how hateful and rotten their soul must be.

Ultimately, I believe in free speech and would never do anything like that, but it sure is tempting sometimes.

3. Cox won't investigate their price gouging. It's that simple.
The gas stations are also supporting Bouchard because he'll do his part to block the Senate from overseeing the gas industry.

5. What he said.
Williams says it on his website. He's going to crack down on price gouging: http://www.amoswilliams4ag.com/pdf/Gas.pdf

6. We should really be working to make these signs an issue
We should be asking the Michigan voters very loudly and very publicly, WHY they think the gas retailers are supporting Cox and Bouchard. Being supported by as gas station is kind of like being supported by Bush these days.
I also find it curious that all of these signs sprung up seemingly overnight. I'm convinced that there is a "gas retailers association" that they belong to that must have encouraged them to place the signs, and probably even provided the signs.
If there was a journalism industry left in this country, then the journalists whould be stopping by the gas stations and interviewing the station owners to ask them why they are supporting the GOP. These hypothetical journalists could also visit the office of the retailers association (tv cameras in tow) and ask them whey the gas retailers are hoping for GOP victories.

7. All the credit unions and labor unions have dem signs in front
So I guess everyone's natural constituency has their signage?

It's too bad that the dems aren't running someone who is known state-wide for AG. Cox is not all that popular, even with the GOP base. He's a known philanderer, and he covered up for Kwame's (a dem, no less) stripper party at the Manoogian mansion.
