I thought it was awesome! They have some good ad campaigns here in Michigan...
I know an independent who said it gave her pause..I don't think she is voting for Dickie anyway.

1. Only about a hundred times so far.
It's interesting that the political calculus regards the audience sufficiently anti-Bush that the association would work. The commentary track is rhetorically somewhat neutral. "If you like Bush you'll love DeVos." Clearly, there ARE imbeciles in this state who like the raw sewage in the White House. Assuring them they'll "love Dick DeVos" might tend to solidify that 'base.'

2. Whats weird is that
There are flyers I see around that I honestly thought were satirical at first, but turns out they are actually by the Republican Party, which use the same argument :wow:...

They use those exact same words actually "If you love George W Bush, you'll LOVE Dick DeVoss-the same great policies (snicker)" and so on, except its irony free in their case...

Why anyone would want to be tied to Shrub this elction season beats me...DeVoss should have stuck to pushing Scamway...
But, I think DeVoss is toast for all that :toast:-least from campaign rounds (and polls) I figure so :).

4. DeVos is confused
DeVos can't seem to make up his mind on his Bush strategy. He won't meet with Bush when he's in Michigan, but he is happy to give him millions and have official campaign materials saying they're basically the same person? As far as I'm concerned, the closer the association the better--far more people will be turned off by than attracted to the similarities. So get out there and vote!

5. Or really, really stupid
I saw the debates and while I don't usually like to call someone "stupid" in all seriousness, I will make an exception in this case.

He doesn't seem very bright-I mean I dislike most Repug candidates but they don't always strike me as this dumb. This guy is like Bush, except without whatever it is that endears Bush to all those nutbags..."folksiness and warmth" or whatever.

Anyway I think he is screwed and that makes me very happy :D.
Cause, during the summer I was starting to think that Granholm might lose.

3. Granholm and Stabenow ads have been excellent, especially that one.
