2. Early returns have Skinner close.
Joe Knollenberg (REP)* 9,366 50%
Nancy Skinner (DEM) 8,710 47%
7% of precincts reporting

I'm praying ... and hoping ... and wishing. (Gawd! I detest Knollenberg!)

3. Skinner took Farmington HIlls by close to 1K.
I told her we would deliver, and we did. Aldo won by a landslide here, as did Granholm, Stabenow and Jacobs. This is the only time you will ever here me say GO BLUE!

Now Prop 2? That's another story. OY VEY!

4. Something's VERY wrong with precincts reporting in the 9th CD.
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 12:35 AM by TahitiNut
Every other CD has 50-60-70% reporting and the 9th is hung at 7% reporting.

Cooking the ballots??

6. So, Nancy won Farmington, Royal Oak
and we know she won Berkley and Clawson. How come she's down by 8 points now? Pontiac may be able to pull her out -- we know she'll win big there, but they were still voting at 10 o'clock. They had major problems.

7. Ah-hah... I was wondering what the big delay in the 9th CD retruns was all about.
It figures that "they'd" screw Pontiac again. :grr:

8. They also ran out of ballots in Waterford
There was a huge turnout. I was calling people in Waterford all day and of the people I actually reached, I'd say over 90 percent of them had voted already either absentee or at the polls. Of course, a lot of them were retirees who were home during the day. I also left a lot of messages on answering machines reminding people to vote.

10. 54/44 for Knollenburg at 9:37am 91% reporting
with 10% to go that's about 30k votes, it would have to break heavy for her. Nancy you ran an excellant campaign, I truly hoped you would get pulled in. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

11. Pontiac is the only place in the state still not reporting
Nancy won big there, but it doesn't sound like the turnout was big enough to push her over the top. If they had had an enormous turnout, it might have been enough.

12. My mistake -- only place in the county
I guess there are still a few more places statewide.
