1. I'll be there

I'm in the 12th.

You should come to the blogger's caucus. It's from 10-12. Check the schedule for the room.

Also, the draft Gore group I'm getting involved with will be there with flyers and paraphernalia. I guess there won't be tables set up this time for selling stuff, but we're going to be in the Cobo lobby at a table as people arrive selling shirts, etc. and trying to get people to sign up to help with the draft campaign. I saw your post in the Gore group, so thought you might be interested.

4. I'll look for you

I don't expect to be in Detroit before noon as I am going down and coming back the same day. My main business is the cong caucus but I'm hoping to get there early enough to do other stuff, like find the Gore group.

5. I'll probably only be with them until 10

Then I go to the bloggers' caucus from 10-12. Box lunch provided by the governor is at noon, then the district caucuses from 1-3, I believe. Maybe we can still meet up somehow. Look for the folks in the green and blue Gore t-shirts.

2. Probably - I'm in the Third District

I know Pete Gallinat from CMU Democrats. I am almost certain that both he and Christine Barry (whom I 'know' from Michigan Liberal) are great candidates to succeed you. :-)

In the meantime, I don't know who's running in the Third District. I have no reason not to believe Ida DeHaas won't run for re-election as Chair, but I don't know the politics of the 3rd District Dems.

3. 4th Dist. slate

As it turns out Peter is running as a vice-chair with me on the unity slate. Sadly Christine has only listened to advice from leadership in her own county and has approached no one about being on the unity slate. The candidate for chair on the slate is a former judge out of Midland. He is more likely to be my successor, actually.

I expect interesting things at our caucus. Shiawassee county never disappoints. :-)
