HELLO ALL who made it to F9/11 at the Lagoon on Friday
It was great meeting all of you...I can associate at least four of your faces with your screen names, so I will consider that a success.

Sorry for running off after the movie and not making the Williams Pub excursion, but I had a hot date with my wife, whom I don't get to see very often on account of our conflicting work schedules.

I look forward to our next meet-up...maybe my wife will be available for it!!!

6. Paying it forward- same here!
I took my mother to see F-911 in Maple Grove on Saturday. The 5:00 showing was about 75% capacity, but there was a huge line waiting for the next showing afterward.
The crowd was much more subdued out in the suburbs. I am so glad I was able to watch the movie in Minneapolis with all of you on opening night. Thanks again, Dan, for the ticket!

7. WOW!!! In Maple Grove?
I'm suprised it was even SHOWN there!

Full disclosure: I grew up in Maple Grove in the 70s and 80s. Back then, it was a sleepy little semi-rural town, with a large blue-collar population in the east and a bunch of big mansions on the lakes (esp Fish Lake, close to where I lived). We were represented in the state Senate for a long time by a moderate/conservative Democrat, who was pretty representative of the community.

But now, I don't even recognize the place. It's hard to find the house I lived in for 20 years, with all the new construction. I seriously get lost trying to figure out where I am. It's also gotten VERY conservative, especially now since it's become a bedroom community for the six-figure set.

I'm just glad to hear that it is playing out there, as those people are the ones who need to see it most, IMHO. They've been sold the bill of goods by ShrubCo, and need to know the truth.

Great to know about this.......

9. much quieter in the suburbs
My friend & I went to the cineplex at Southdale. Probably 2,000 seats, the theater was packed, but aside from laughs at a few points and my occasional sardonic, sotto voce comment, the crowd was silent.

"God's frozen Chosen", yup, yup.

12. I'm glad you showed up needing a ticket!
That's exactly the reason I bought an extra ticket - just so someone who had just decided to come could get in with us.

Great meeting you!

13. Went to the 9:55 at Eden Prairie
it was sold out. Thank goodness we got there early or we never would have gotten a seat. Suprisingly, everyone in the theater was just great. They clapped several times throughout the movie and gave a huge round of applause at the end. I've never been to a movie where the audience has clapped before!

Next time I'll have to plan to attend an event in advance. I live three blocks from Williams Pub and that area so anywhere in Uptown is absolutely GREAT for me to meet!

When are you guys getting together next?
