Bryant Lake Bowl
Don't they do karaoke there? Anyone want to meet up on a Saturday night for drinks, lively conversation, etc? I'd love to do something at a karaoke place; haven't done that in a few years.

Looking for a show of interest and suggested venues.

5. I'm in St. Paul
I was trying to be accomodating, since so many of us met in Uptown for F911.

I could MAYBE do a Friday, but that one day is usually off limits to me.

We'll just keep trying and get something going sooner or later.

3. Any chance we could do this on a Friday night instead?
Fridays and Saturdays are my days off, Sundays I have to be up at 5:30 am to go to work -- so there's no way I'd be able to do a Saturday night thing in the Cities and then make the 2 hour drive home.

On the other hand, I certainly don't want to stand in the way of the rest of you getting together. I can wait for a different get-together that works better with my schedule -- but I WILL wanna see some photos! :D

7. How 'bout a THURSDAY, then?
Again, this is just a feeler outer to see if we can work something out. I had to beg for the night off for F911...fortunately, my boss is from San Fransisco...need I say more?? Another Friday would be pushing it, especially this soon after the first one.

I've been back in Mpls. for only ten months, so I need directions to just about everything.

14. Most likely not.
Thursday is a work day, which means my dogs are locked up in the house all day. In order to make a trip to the Cities on a workday, I would have to first drive 20 miles east from work to my house in order to let my pooches out, then turn around and drive the same 20 miles back west to get to the freeway. At the end of a stressful work week, it's not something that inspires much enthusiasm... Sorry.

I think you all ought to simply make your plans. I don't expect to be able to participate in every event that metro area DUers put together. The price of living in the boonies... ;-) (which I wouldn't trade for anything!)

9. I'm game...
I'll show my bias...as a non car owner and an uptown dweller, I'm up for an uptown get together. I do know, however, that it is a bit of a pain for folks to find parking in uptown. BLB is fine for me if anyone else is game. :hi:

15. Only if I get to sing the Rodeo Song
Back in 1992, I used to sing a version of the Rodeo Song with the voices of Bill Clinton, GHW Bush, and Ross Perot. I actually won quite a bit in prizes and money for it, too, believe it or not (over $300).

Yeah, Karaoke would be a blast! Maybe I'll work on some new tunes, too!

:hi:

16. Damn, I sure don't want to miss THAT!
My last brush with Karaoke was at the 8th CD convention in Eveleth in 2002. I sang "Will you still love me tomorrow?" and wowed several dozen drunken Democrats. :P
