Q: What do Michele Bachmann and Dick Cheney have in common?

A: They both want to deny basic human rights to gay members of their own family.

In a speech before the right wingnut Maple River Education Coalition (MrEd)in Bloomington November 6, 2004, Bachmann, Minnesota biggest homophobe, outed a family member to drive home her point that being "in the gay lifestyle" is evil:

"Any of you who have members of your family that are in the lifestyle - we have a member of our family that is. This is not funny. It’s a very sad life. It's part of Satan, I think, to say this is gay. It's anything but gay."

Bachmann then goes on to claim: "It's profoundly sad to recognize that almost all, if not all, individuals who have gone into the lifestyle have been abused at one time in their life, either by a male or by a female. There’s been profound hurt and profound things that have happened in almost all of their lives."

Hmmm. I wonder how Bachmann's family member feels about being used as a prop in Mom's speeches about the "evil" of homosexuals.

I never went into the lifestyle. I was born that way. Just as she was born a breeder. She finds homosexuality as disgusting as I find heterosexuality to be bizarre.
