Star Tribune headline on Energy Bill doesn't mince words.
It's an AP story, but the headline seems to be the Star Tribune's own:

"Energy bill with billions for oil companies clears House

The House by a wide margin approved a mammoth energy plan for the nation today that sends billions of dollars in tax breaks and subsidies to energy companies, but is expected to do little to reduce U.S. oil consumption or dampen high energy prices."

2. So, basically, we're better off without it?
The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats steal with one hand and give with the other. Republicans steal with both hands.
