What State Fair means to me! ******* (Dial-Up Warning)

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

2. Used to exhibit
at the fair ...did so for 7 straight years....

you're right, the food is wonderful....We always patronized one of the Lutheran "Food Halls" too because one of our sales reps was a member of the church...the food was basic, filling and EXCELLENT!

We stopped exhibiting in '02...tore down our permanent building...it was truly the "end of an era"

5. At the Tulsa Stair Fair
I'll be selling Deep-Fried Sticks on a Stick.

I'll probably break even or do better.

Me to customer: Of course you can eat it! This is a state fair, and it's on a damn stick, ain't it?

6. Great pic!
There was a guy in the local office from my employer's Hawaii site for the last couple weeks. He went to the fair the first weekend he was here and when I asked what he thought of it his response was "Om my God! The food!"

8. I literally ate myself SICK.
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 12:53 PM by bvar22
I rode in on my bicycle and stuffed myself with the widest variety of junk food that I could pack in my stomach. I usually eat healthy, but figured that the STATE FAIR was good for an exemption. I PIGGED OUT and it was GOOD!!!
All was well until the bike ride home.

9. I love your photo montage!
That's it.

I went to the fair and found I was not hungry at all after passing by a public phone booth that had the remains of a gnawed off turkey leg sticking out of the coin return. :eyes:
