I had one of the ultimate activism experiences today

As some of you know, I was involved in the sit-in and subsequent encampment at the U of M earlier this year to protest the closing of the general college.

The trial for the 5 students arrested is coming up. Today I had the pleasure of going with another activist friend to hand Mr. President Bob Bruininks a subpoena to come to testify in court, as well as the VP Robert Jones, and another woman, Kathleen Brown, who I unfortunately forget the title of her position.

Coming face to face with the enemy and handing him a subpoena. Doesn't get much better. I bet he's really tired of us General College Truth Movement folk. :-)

2. Love that feeling

I got to hand a subpoena to an apartment building owner who refused to refund my security deposit. Tracked him down to his Beverly Hills home and made him get up from the dinner table to answer the door. :rofl:

3. I got my start at the U in General College.

I ended up graduating from Liberal Arts, but I never would have made it without the GC opportunity.
