So Minnesotans, who are we liking in the Senate race so far?
I got a call from Amy Klobachar's campaign office today. I grilled the poor dude pretty hard and was most pleased with a lot of his answers. He was well informed for someone calling to beg for dollars.

Has anybody met or spoken with Amy?

1. Be sure to audit the ES&S optiscans. If you'd done that Mondale
would have beaten Coleman.

2. I went to a Senate debate with Amy and the others
a couple weekends ago. Instead of waiting around to get answers to some questions I had that weren't addressed, I e-mailed her the next day. That evening I got a personal phone call from her ;)

She is from up north on the range. Very straight forward and pragmatic. Not the kind of person a dyed in the wool progressive falls in love with, but a good Dem, smart and honest, and clearly working hard if she's takin time to call little ol me.

I'm also fairly convinced that her winning the endorsement is a forgone conclusion, though I could be wrong, have been in the past.

3. That's the impression I got on the phone with her campaign too.
She is going out of her way. Her staff was super informed. I tend to be a raging loonie on the phone with politics calls. He was great, answered all my questions.

4. I cant plug this show enough.......

You can listen to all the candidates. Just scroll down a ways after the Kelly Doran stuff. You can listen to each persons take on the issues, the whole forum, or just listen to each candidate separately.

I have liked all four "when Doran was in" of the candidates at sometime or another. First Patty Wetterling. Then Doran. Ford Bell is very articulate and intelligent on foreign policy issues so I backed him. But after hearing Amy's candor, and how she can work the crowd, I am starting to like her more and more.

Right now it is kind of a toss up. IF I had to vote today I would probably back Wetterling.

Ford outshines the others on the issues.

Between Patty and Amy, I prefer Patty.
