Mark Kennedy getting paranoid
and trying to play the victim card already. Things must be going really bad, really quickly for him.

Yet the final Democratic canidiate is going to get the Rove/Thune treatment the other way. The playing field is already being set.

http://www.startribune.com/stories/587/5638871.html

"WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Rep. Mark Kennedy, the leading Republican U.S. Senate candidate from Minnesota, said Tuesday that he fears he might be the target of a "dirty tricks" campaign and challenged Democrats to disclose whether they have illegally obtained personal data about him.

In a letter to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), Kennedy's campaign cited reports that two Democratic researchers illegally obtained a personal credit report on Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, also a Republican Senate candidate.

The letter notes that Kennedy is ranked "the number one Republican pick-up opportunity in the country" by the National Journal.

As such, he said in an interview, "if they're doing dirty tricks on the No. 2 prospect (Steele), the fear that I have that they're also illegally going after my personal information is something that needs to be put to bed."

2. Sounds like Marky Mark has some skeletons in the closet.
If not, he would have no reason to be worried. Don't like people accessing your personal information, Marky? Maybe you should have voted against the Patriot Reauthorizaton Act. And "dirty tricks?" Hell, a "dirty tricks" campaign against Kennedy could consist of a.) telling the truth and b.) talking about his voting record.

Sounds like he's not doing so well if he's already digging for stuff like this. I can't wait to see what he pulls out next year when the campaigns are in full swing.

3. Somebody needs to explain to Screech
that there are a number of businesses that specialize in doing background checks on people. Why does he assume the information has been "illegally obtained"? Yup, I'd say he's worried about something specific.
