1. I'm sure Mayor Kelly will be there
doing his best Zell Miller imitation. Between Coleman and Kelly St. Paul sure has its hands full with turn coats. What the hell is going on there????

5. Thanks for the update!
I won't be able to make it due to work obligations, but I hope our many other DUers will be able to attend. :kick:

6. I won't be there either - same reason.
Do you suppose they schedule these things during normal working hours to keep the crowds down?

7. The President is gong to be here?
You mean Al Gore is coming to MN? ;)

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it to the rally tomorrow. Normally I'd just take a couple hours off work but since I had a hardware failure on one of my servers at work I thought it might be a nice gesture on my part if I stick around and try to get it back up. If all goes well I'll be able to attend the rally but as things stand at the moment I'm not really counting on it. Bummer.

8. Yeah, Lucky Us

My husband works near the XCel, and the last time Bush was there, Secret Service accidentally parked one of their cars in the lot where my hubby works - they almost towed it!

10. This mornings news said
he would be there at 5:45 pm. The bus stops in downtown say they will be closed after 5 pm. I live with a registered independent and we got a "phone call" from Norm Monday night inviting us to get tickets, which we didn't do because WE TAKE THE BUS and the busses won't go there. What a man for the people, huh?

11. Saw The Limo This Afternoon
My disabled son had an appointment at Gillette's Children's Hospital this afternoon, and while we were getting off of the medical shuttle that takes us to his appointments (on the North side of hospital at around 11 AM), we saw the President's limo go by. The plane must be down at Holman air field?! Anyway, too bad I didn't have eggs or tomatoes with. No wonder we're having lousy weather in MN today - Bush blew in!

12. They also closed highway 94 so Pres. Snottypants* can get free passage!
x(

A good way to win votes is to ensure that you piss off everybody royally during rush hour. (Win votes for the OTHER candidate, of course. People hate issues. They just want everything for free and ASAP.)

13. No free speech zones in Saint Paul!
The let protestors walk on the Excel Center side of West Seventh. I went to see his motorcade off and there was no attempt to separate me from the pro-Bush people. There were children present so I refrained from telling him to fuck off (yelled "Go to hell, traitor!" instead).
