Jesse Ventura was on Leno this evening
He may consider a senate run 'cause right now it is between a chickenhawk and a carpetbagger.

Does not like the hypocrisy of forcing Federal employees to retire at 65, yet McCain is exempt..

Does not like the idea of a "two families monarchy" in the White House (when asked about Clinton).

Obama is "just another Democrat" - the Democratic Congress that got a mandate to get out of Iraq in 2006 and did not shut off the money source.

If you are ready to exit Iraq you do not need a "strategy."

The problem is that we have only two parties, with a reference to HBO's John Adams that I missed.

With a new book and fully shaved head and face.

1. Can't he go back to writing more thought provoking articles in Playboy Magazine,
where more people are inclined to look at the pictures anyway?

Ventura is a dork.

2. Feh..... Jesse was all right. I agree with him on the ...
religious thing and I think he tried to run the state government by what he felt was right and not by which lobbyists were knocking at his door. He was the right guy at the right time. Humphrey probably would have done better but got bogged down by Norm's filth.

3. I would like to see him in the debates.
He keeps it lively and doesn't let the other candidates get away with their standard bullshit.

5. Ventura and former campaign manager hint at Senate race
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Former Gov. Jesse Ventura said he "may" file the necessary papers to run for the U.S. Senate in the November election.

If he doesn't, his former campaign manager will.

Both are hinting at a run against Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and likely Democratic candidate Al Franken this fall. The only question seems to be: Will it be Ventura, or the man who helped him become governor?

Ventura's former campaign manager, Dean Barkley, now works as a bus driver and gardens as a hobby.

"Ear to the dirt, listening to the pulse of the people," he joked Thursday.

But Barkley, who was appointed to the Senate for 62 days after Paul Wellstone died in 2002, said he is serious about going to Washignton again.

"I don't like either of the candidates out there," he said. "And if no one else will do it, I will."

6. Poor man...
Does he really think Minnesotans are going to rally around to build his ego again?

I was disappointed in him-he had a chance to get some of the bullshit out of politics. He failed. I'm all for the Independence Party-I figure with the bell curve that'll mean the Republicans will die out and we can have civil dissuasions. The problem is he is the wrong spokesperson for the group. He's not a statesman-he's a man who needs others around him to build up his ego.
