The pundits on MSNBC were dropping broad hints that Timmy
has been chosen as McCain's running mate! (As of 11:55 pm, Thursday.)

Apparently, both Huckabee and Mittens said they were out of the running.

Even though Biden would cream Pawlenty in a debate, Pawlenty has the "young family man" image to balance McCain and compete with Biden's wonderful large family that was on stage with him yesterday. Also, Pawlenty would be the choice to challenge Biden's working class roots story.
