I was talking with my step-dad about this. He voted Barkley and wouldn't show up to vote for either Franken or Coleman, but he thought Coleman would win a runoff.
I'm torn. They say runoffs are all about GOTV - Dems have always excelled at that, but you know Rush and Fox News would be haranguing their Minnesota listeners to get in there and make sure Franken didn't win. And yet... I have to imagine there were some liberal-leaning Barkley voters who would swallow their dislike of Franken just to make sure Coleman didn't get in for another term.
I honestly can't decide who would get the majority vote. What do you guys think?

1. A lot of it would depend on the weather |

good weather tends to favor DFL candidates - probably because we have more elderly and disabled voters as well as urban dwellers who may rely on mass transit to get to the polls.
