I bought twenty paperback copies of 1984 to hand out to friends in the hope that they'd catch on to what was happening.
Only ever managed to give one copy away (and I don't think that one ever got read).
It sure does seem like a blueprint for the RW world -- and especially news media -- that we live with these days.

Engrossing book.
I remember Mike Malloy would read about 15 minutes of it every night a couple of years ago, right at the end of his show.
