They must be enjoying a snow day in hell this morning
Take a look at this article

"Health Insurers Fighting Overhaul Plan with Cash"

http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/52318332.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUUX

and then look at the comments. Yeah, yeah, I know, you're thinking, "Oh no, I don't need to see more illiterate freeperisms."

But wait! Go to "Read all however-many comments" and click on the option "number of votes."

Start reading in that order. I've read through the first 70 comments, and they're all IN FAVOR of health care reform. In the Strib, no less.

The usual wingnut suspects are getting hammered.

This makes Klobuchar and Franken even less justified in waffling on health care.

1. I can't believe those responses
they're so unlike the usual ones found at the Strib.

At the rate United Health Group is getting mentioned (and slammed) I strongly suspect that many of the comments are coming from current or former UHG employees.

BTW one of the large, local "non-profit" insurers has come out in favor of HR3200 and is encouraging its employees to contact their Congresspeople about it. I take that as a really bad sign about that bill.

2. I finally got back to reading the whole article
I just love Bachmann's quotes at the end of the article:

Bachmann has denounced the public alternative, dubbing it a "government takeover of health care" and evoking images of Cuba. She argues that government subsidies and regulations for the public plan "will squeeze out private health insurance."

"It will be very difficult for the private insurers to compete," she said.

Bachmann ranks eighth this year among the 435 members of the U.S. House in campaign contributions from donors within the insurance industry, which includes health, accident and life insurance, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Insurers gave her $50,900, more than any other industry
