Brett Favre donates to Mississippi Democrat
We can only speculate on his political leanings, but Brett apparently supports his home Democratic representative.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is tossing financial support to the congressional incumbent in his Mississippi home district.

Federal Election Commission records show Favre and his wife, Deanna, each gave $2,400 to the campaign of Democratic U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor.

Brett Favre grew up in Kiln, which is near Taylor's home in Bay St. Louis. The Favres have a home near Hattiesburg, also in Taylor's district.

Taylor has been in Congress since 1989. He faces Republican Steven Palazzo and the Reform Party's Anna Jewel Revies in the Nov. 2 general election.

3. He was actually trying to donate to the Republican, but he threw an interception.

5. I've always wondered about him and where his politics are.
I'm thrilled that he's on the right side and it makes me like him even more.

Go, Brett!! :)

7. He also spoke at an event with Sarah Palin, Rudy Giulani, Colin Powell and Steve Forbes
It was billed as a "business seminar" but the list of speakers made it clear that it was a GOP convention in disguise. Maybe Favre did give to a Democrat, but if he is going to help sell tickets for a rally featuring Palin, Giuliani, Powell and Forbes I have a hard time believing he is on our side.

8. I was at that seminar
And he was not there. He spoke by satellite feed.

And despite the line-up, it was surprisingly not a GOP event.
