The proposed law reads:
"Every person 18 years of age or more who has been a citizen of the United States for three months and who has resided in the precinct for 30 days next preceding an election shall be entitled to vote in that precinct. In addition, every person 18 years of age or more who has been a citizen of the United States and resident of this state for three months and who is the owner of agricultural land or nonhomesteaded, noncommercial real property or who is the owner of commercial or industrial real property and conducts on the property a small business as defined by law may vote in the precinct where the real property is located on any question concerning local levies or referendums."
http://mnpublius.com/post/3328488095/mngop-end-one-person-one-vote#disqus_threadI grew up in rural Pine County, about 1.5 hours north of the metro area. The gentrification is awful up there already, I can't imagine what would happen if weekenders were allowed to come in and vote against any school levies or infrastructure spending. This insanity is beyond anything even I could ever imagine.
