MPR: "Where are the college professors getting big pay raises?"
excerpt:

"House Speaker Kurt Zellers started a bit of a brouhaha on MPR's Midday yesterday when he said, "it's also troubling when families have had a 30- or 40percent pay cut and you see a college professor get a 20- or 30-percent increase in pay." The assertion is reminiscent of gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer's invoking the specter of $100,000 waiters and waitresses in a discussion about the state's minium wage.

Professors who get 30- and 40-percent pay increases? Like who? Some college professors would like to know. We've heard from a few in the last 24 hours."

And blatant about their brown-nosing corporations.

3. Maybe they are intentionally lying and not stupid. They count on people not knowing.

6. I tell people this all the time:
Rush, Beck, those morons on the Fox morning show . . . they all know what they are saying is wrong, they know it's all bullshit but it makes them good money.
They also know people listen to these guys for a reason - to validate their preconceived views.
Then I tell them to google 'cognitive dissonance' and 'willful ignorance'.

4. Then Zellers blamed MPR
For a headline that didn't specifically say that months ago (obviously, Zellers has reading comprehension problems). Some administrators got raises, per that article. He just decided to say it was professors (some who have been on years-long salary freezes).

Their lies never stop. When they got called on them, they blame someone/something else. It's so typical.

But not funny. They are seriously hurting Minnesota and Minnesotans. And it will get worse, even once the budget is balanced. Dayton said months ago, even with the tax increases he was proposing, that the budget changes made him "miserable".

We have to get these people out of office.
