Cravaack (Pretender-8th) in the middle of a wrangle over a campaign bill

A claim for unpaid legal services has been filed against Rep. Chip Cravaack, R-Lindstrom.

J.C. Neu & Associates of Red Bank, N.J., is seeking reimbursement of services its founding attorney Jeff Neu says the firm provided as general counsel to Cravaack’s congressional campaign.

Cravaack’s campaign reported a $32,250 claim from Neu to the Federal Election Commission but characterized the billings as “disputed.”

Jeff Neu contends the figure Cravaack’s campaign reported to the FEC is incorrect, but he would not say whether it was too high or too low.

Neu is the brother-in-law of Cravaack's former campaign manager, Anne Neu.

Classy!
