Wheeeee. I just got my broadband connection back!

Talk about a harrowing experience. No online access, except via the coffee shop wireless network, for over a week. No email except webmail (yuck). Worst, no DU.

Surprisingly, Time-Warner was very helpful except for their undermanned repair service. By Thursday they'd isolated it to a problem at the pole, but the earliest they could get service out would have been this coming Tuesday. A clever tech at the network service center was able to restore service this morning by remotely rebooting the neighborhood router.

I doubt anyone missed me, but I sure missed y'all.
