Also, I didn't know Skip was now head of AARP Minnesota. I was wondering what he's been up to the last few years.
Dear DFLers,
This Thursday evening, Congressman Martin Olav Sabo will hold a panel discussion on the important topic of Social Security. As the national political spotlight has focused on this issue, Congressman Sabo wanted to offer information and discussion to anyone who would like to learn more. He will be joined by two other panelists, Hubert Humphrey III, State President of AARP Minnesota, and Dr. Mitch Pearlstein, Founder and President Emeritus of the Center of the American Experiment. Congressman Sabo hopes the evening will provide lively discussion from each of these points of view. There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit questions.
“Being a senior used to be synonymous with being poor. Social Security changed that. Today we don’t have a problem paying Social Security benefits, and the system is not in crisis. We can fix the longer term problem without dismantling the system as we know it.”
– Congressman Sabo
Come learn about how the Social Security benefits you’ve earned could be threatened by proposed changes.
