Sheriff: Four Found Dead in Home Near Meridian

MERIDIAN, MS (AP) - Authorities say a father, mother and their two children have been found dead a small east-central Mississippi home that was decorated for Christmas.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie tells The Associated Press that the case appears to be murder-suicide. He says he's withholding their names until relatives are notified. Autopsies were pending.

Sollie says the dead man and woman were parents of the children but not married to each other. The boys were 4 and 5 years old.

Sollie says the man's father, who also lives in the home, found the bodies when he returned from work Thursday afternoon. He would not say how they died.
