Bennie Thompson, is he potentially vulnerable
He got only 58% of the vote, and he's a black rep in Mississippistan

1. Not likely...He's my rep and this was a strong Bush year....
He had an attractive moderate black republican opponent who never stood a chance (58%-42%). Obviously, Bush had no coat-tails and I don't see Bennie going anywhere anytime soon. Sure do miss Mike Espy (he had the seat before Bennie). Espy was a real uniter who tried to represent the whole district whereas Thompson is very divisive and hugely unpopular with most of his 40% white constituents.

I vote for him ONLY because I know he will oppose Bush (and before that, because he supported Clinton). Sad to say, in Mississippi he's the best of our four representatives.

2. I love Bennie Thompson
He won't be in trouble. That's a low figure for him.
