What A Mississippi Pro-Choice Rally Looks Like

Take heart, Mississippians! The Operation Save America (formerly Operation Rescue)effort to shut down the state's only abortion clinic is not going unchallenged - even with that bomb scare (nobody knows who called it in, but no bomb was found that I'm aware of). NOW, the ACLU, Anti-Racist Action, and many local Jackson liberals gave as good as the anti-choicers.

UNFORTUNATELY, this is not the end yet. YET ANOTHER GROUP named Oh Saratoga (another anti-choice group) is coming to Jackson on August 4th for a repeat performace. If you live in or near Mississippi, here is your chance to defend choice in Mississippi. Still, the good news is that Operation Save America seems to have grossly underestimated the pro-choice sentiment in Jackson despite the fact that it's one of - if not THE - most conservative metro area in the nation.

I interviewed Sunsara Taylor from World Can't Wait just this past week on "Head-On With Bob Kincaid." She and the WCW folks were there in Jackson to combat the womb-nazis from OSA.

"Operation Save America" is genuinely disgusting. It amazes me that it was able to rise from the ashes of the judgment that was rendered against Randall Terry and his homicidal "Operation Rescue."
