Moving to Desoto County, Miss
Hey guys. I hope there is room for us there.

Hubby is being offered a job in South Memphis, around the airport. And I was thinking that Desoto county might be the place to consider moving to. We are around Orlando, Florida now. Job is taken care of, so I'm looking into housing, schools, etc.

What is the area like there? What is the housing market like there?

And what is the politics like? Is there a local Democratic group? Is it active, etc?

thanks!

2. Desoto County Mississippi
Southhaven, located in Desoto County, Mississippi is considered a suburb of Memphis. It's a fast growing community. I live a few Counties East of there. Look this over: http://www.city-data.com/county/DeSoto_County-MS.html

3. Very Republican, conservative area.
I had a call asking for my vote for Gail whatshername and the woman said " she's a Christian conservative and we would appreciate your vote". Around these parts that's about all you gotta say. It makes you qualified to be the state representative.

4. ms living
Olive branch and Lewisburg have some nice new neighborhoods that are new and quite. Crime rate low and Lewisburg is considered to now be one of the better schools.
Although, all are really good.
