GOP attempts to make hay of McCaskill's Katrina comment

I missed this among the other activity of the end of last week--but the GOP is attempting to make political hay of comments Claire McCaskill made about Bush's willfully neglectful response to Hurricane Katrina. From the Kansas City Star's blog:

During a meeting with Democratic political leaders in St. Louis on Wednesday, McCaskill said she would remind people that "George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black."

They got quotes from Elizabeth Dole and Bill Frist reacting in mock horror and suggesting that she needs to apologize. Never mind Bush needing to apologize for compounding disaster upon disaster.

I think we all saw how Bush handled Katrina . . .

It's not even arguing. It is outsmarting them. They just repeat whatever rush said that day. And surely you know how easy it is to prove rush wrong.

5. They claim she called bush a murderer

I searched all over for what she said when I read this accusation on one of their blog (puke) sites last week. I thought it was an interesting accusation since none of the bloggers had bothered to include a link or even quote Claire. I googled every combination I could think of but found nothing.

Now that I see what they are talking about, I am not the least bit surprised. They are so friggin delusional.
