Will Kerry's Remarks Affect This Race?
I can't believe what a brouhaha the media has made over John Kerry's remarks.

Unfortunately, Claire was forced to distance herself from them. The RNC is now producing an ad of the remarks.

Will this affect this race? My guess is no because base voters are already pumped to vote in Missouri because of Amendment 2. Still, I do worry that in this very tight state, enough harping on these comments and Democrats as "anti-military" could have an impact come election day.

Or am I getting too worked up?

2. I am disappointed in her and I am so sorry I even gave her any of
my money through Kerry now. She didn't have to appear with him, but there was no excuse for denouncing him and feeding into the lies about what he actually said.
My thought is, Kerry will have no impact. This is all about the Iraq war. Kerry actually could of helped I think, discussing in his outspoken way the mismanagement of this war.
Frankly, right now, I think we don't deserve to win any races. The only thing that keeps me from not going to the polls is wanting to see them defeated.

3. She screwed up
But she's a good candidate. I don't know if you're from Missouri or not, but she really is probably the most progressive Democrat you can get from Missouri; which is to say that she's a perfectly mainstream Democrat by national standards. Compare that to Democrat senators in other parts of the South and border states (like Blanche Lincoln, Mark Pryor, or Mary Landrieu) and she'll be a downright lefty.

She's a very good candidate. She screwed this up, but please don't let that change your whole impression of her.

4. "Frankly, right now, I think we don't deserve to win any races."--?????
WTF?

Because the media distorted the hell out of Kerry's remarks?

This "we" deserves to win some races, because the remaining shreds of my country are at stake.

7. I sent her money twice through John Kerry's email.
Something I regret now. I still want her to win because I want the Democrats in control. I sent her an email today, letter her know my disgust with her.

5. what did she say
What did Claire say about Kerry?

I have volunteered for her, and plan on volunteering for her more, but I will be writing a letter telling me of my disappointment in her, if I find out that she unfairly criticized Kerry for the right wing's twisting of an honest mistake Kerry made.

Surely she knows what it's like to be smeared by the Right Wing Propaganda machine and how important it is to stick together and not let them win.

6. She said...
"It was a real dumb thing to say. He should say sorry."
