State Representative Beth Low will host a public forum on the topic of healthcare, Medicaid reform and Missouri HealthNet, to take place on Tuesday August 28, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Writer's Place, 3607 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, MO. State Representative Beth Low will be joined by Minority Leader, State Representative Paul LeVota, State Representative Mike Talboy, and State Senator Jolie L. Justus, along with the Missouri Budget Project, the Alliance for the Status of Missouri Women, KC Pro-Vote and the Missouri Association for Social Welfare.
The first in a series of forums hosted by State Rep. Beth Low, will coincide with the day changes to Missouri's Medicaid program are set to go into effect and will provide area residents the opportunity to better understand and clarify confusing aspects of the program. In addition to Missouri HealthNet and Medicaid cuts, the public forum gives voters the opportunity to discuss issues related to comprehensive healthcare reform and to provide feedback to area legislators.
The forum is free and open to the public. Childcare will be provided. Question and comments from the audience are encouraged.
