1. WOW. I will be there, wherever, with bells on. LOL

I was at Obama's 6/30 town hall and there were 3,500---not "under 2,000" as stated there. Also there was a big line of people who did not get tickets, and another big line the day of the town hall who did not get in, but came to Glendale anyway. The Obama family will get a BIG crowd, I have no doubt--even here.

3. I didn't get to see him, but I saw Biden. But wow, Obama's been here twice and Biden once.

Sounds like they're hoping to pick off a few voters in SWMO. Obviously they won't win SWMO by a long shot, but if they do well in KC and St. Louis and pick off voters in areas like this--he can take MO!

Barack Obama will hold a Saturday night rally at JFK Stadium near Parkview High School in Springfield.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the Democratic presidential candidate is expected to address supporters around 9 p.m.

Tickets will not be required, but the Obama campaign strongly encourages supporters to RSVP for the event online at http://MO.barackobama.com.

Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, organizers say.

The event is free and open to the public.

The football stadium, located at 516 Meadowmere St., has a 5,439-seat capacity, according to Mark Fisher, athletic director of Springfield Public Schools.

5. We're lining up at 1. I just read the article about attendance at Mizzou, and

it said while 10,000 were inside the rally area, there were another 30,000 in the quadrangle. I'm not taking any chances.

Man, I wish it were being held somewhere with greater capacity.

6. Take photos and get an autograph

If you're lining up at 1:00 you should get a spot up front when the doors open, and you'll get some great closeups of history being made.

Since you're up front, you'll get a chance to speak to staff people.

You'll have plenty of time once you get in to locate the important ones. You'll see them making preparations. Take with you something you want autographed -- one of Obama's books or a nice flier or something -- and start asking those important-looking people to point out who is collecting material to be autographed. You'll eventually find the right person.

Put your own name somewhere on whatever you're having autographed, and hand it to the proper person before the event. You'll have to wait around afterwords for maybe an hour, and eventually all the autographed stuff will be brought out and distributed.

I will treasure my Obama autograph forever.

7. I had no idea! When we saw him at Glendale, it was such a small venue that we were close

and I treasure those memories like crazy.

I feel the need to add a small, guilt-induced disclaimer: they just opened the field office in my town this week, and I will be volunteering other than my time in line tomorrow.

My friend wants to come down but she has to work until 3:00 here in KC. Do you think we would be wasting our time if we didn't get there till 6:00?

9. Yep. There were 40,000 people at his Columbia rally. Spfld is a much bigger town

and I know its more red down here, but we'll also get people from Arkansas and Oklahoma, where dem campaigns rarely stop.

I am good friends with someone who works for the city, and they are setting up the stadium to hold 6500. I can let you know how the line looks, at least.
