RALLY TO END CORPORATE PERSONHOOD IN KC

RALLY TO END CORPORATE PERSONHOOD

MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 2010 at 6:30 PM

at 6:00 materials and ideas will be available for making signs

MILL CREEK PARK - 47TH and J.C. NICHOLS PARKWAY, KC, MO

Please join us to welcome Laird and Robin Monahan, two Vietnam Veteran brothers, who are walking across America to raise awareness of corporate personhood and the illegitimate constitutional rights that corporations now have because of the US Supreme Court decision, Citizens United v. FEC. Help us build momentum to amend the constitutional so only people --not corporations--will have the rights and protections granted by our constitution. The program will include a brief talk by Laird Monahan and a few others and music by Jim Hermann and Women of the Drum.

Sponsors:  Reclaim Democracy, Greens of Kansas City, Greater Kansas City Democracy for America, American Friends Service Committee, Medicare for All, SOSocialSecurity, Johnson/Wyandotte Counties NOW, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom - Des Moines chapter, Johnson County Democratic Women
