Montana GOP Policy: Make Homosexuality Illegal

I think it was only a matter or time before someone, somewhere tried this. I don't live anywhere near Montana so I don't know what the attitudes toward gays are over there, but what is the likelihood of this happening? Does it have a good chance of passing? How will the courts respond (States Rights vs equal protection?) It is a travesty of civil liberties and obviously discriminatory, but at the same time, I am very curious as to how this transpires as I hoped this could never happen. Can any Montanians give some insight?
