Montana group fights closed door School Board Meetings in Missoula
A Missoula group, the Citizens for Open Meeting Law, has formed to help the lawsuit fighting against the closed process determining budgets and schools closures. Three schools were closed this past cycle, with one being leased to a private school (the executive director of which was a trustee who voted on the closure and lease, although she has since resigned).

More information on the group is available here: http://mdfa.blogdns.org/LocalNews.shtml

More information on the lawsuit against the MCPS school board and administration can be found: http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2004/07/30/news/mtregional/znews05.txt
