Your about to gain a member!
My sister (Living in San Francisco right now) is about to move to Bozeman, Montana! We keep teasing that she's going into "Republican Country" and how huge of a change it's going to be (not just in politics but with EVERYTHING)

One more blue voter for Montana! I can't wait to visit her (I love it there, you guys have a beautiful state.)

1. I live in Bozeman,
and this year it has changed. There was more Democratic support here than I have ever seen. The students who live on campus are the most conservative bunch in Bozeman. The people in town and around the city are much more Democratic. Its the old people who have lived here for generations who are Democrats. The new blood is, as we say, a bunch of California Transplants (no offense). This refers to all the movie stars, 30 year old millionaires, and other Neo-conservative influx from that state. If we got a DEMOCRAT from California, it would be a nice change.

3. I live in Bozeman too
Before the election, there were SIX Bush/Cheney signs in the entire town, and literally hundreds of Kerry/Edwards signs. It might be a reddish state, but Bozeman's definately not a red town.

5. I went to college there in the 90's
and it's a very cool town. Lots of liberals - Glenn Close owned a coffee shop there. It is the Ag school so you get the good ol' boys, but it's more liberal than most of MT. Unfortunatly it's the most expensive city in MT.

6. Not sure about Bozeman
But where I live, Missoula, is *very* blue. IIRC, every elected position from this county/city is filled by a democrat.

Most of Montana is red, yeah. But the blue urban areas do exist.
