http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/1/11/12320/7223 Good news in the Big Sky State. Dead heat with Tester surging ahead from behind. Still within the MoE. Read Kos's analysis. I dont agree with everything he says, but I think he's right about Tester being the best candidate.
I really like this comment too. Raises a good point. Remember how Rove put all the anti-gay issues on the ballot to draw out the loonies? Sounds like Schweitzer is doing the same with anti-corruption legislation. This should be done in the other states as well, IMHO.

Governor Schweitzer has been pushing ethics reform for state government since day one, but the state legislature did not act on it in 2005. As a result, Schweitzer is going to put ethics (read lobbying) reform on the state ballot as an initiative in November.
This will focus the voters attention on the pernacious effects of big money lobbying just when they have to decide on Burns vs Testor or Morrision. The timing couldn't work out better for the democratic candidate!
With Governor Schweitzer, politics in Montana is fun again!
