Burns a no-show at debate sponsored by MT Newspaper Association AGAIN

Senator Conrad Burns didn't attend a debate Saturday that included Democratic U-S Senate candidate Jon Tester of Big Sandy and Libertarian Stan Jones. Burns skipped the debate to attend a fundraising golf event in Virginia.

Burns' absence prompted a joke from Tester, who posed a question to an empty chair when each of the candidates was given a chance to ask a question of another candidate. The move was reminiscent of one used by Brian Schweitzer, when he was running against Burns six years ago.

Burns did not attend the debate sponsored by the Montana Newspaper Association that year, either. Schweitzer placed a handmade sign with Burns' name on it on an empty chair.

The GOP is gonna gripe about out of state money in MT elections cuz Dr Dean is gonna work to get Tester elected. Will you all help me answer the GOP every damn time they try? Throw Burns' outta state fund raisers at them every time they open their fucking mouths!
