I blame the lack of federal funding
This article from the Lincoln newspaper really gets to me.
A sad sad story about aa Lincoln man.
I hope this was right on the front page so people know what
type of society we have become.

1. Thank you for sharing!
That was a truly moving article.

I have one question for you, how do you think more government funding would have helped? They screw up just about everything they touch.

2. It's the big domino
Federal funding has been cut and the regional centers are closing/cutting bed space.
People are uncertain about their future so public giving-United Way etc, private foundations have had to cut their funding.

In Lincoln the soup kitchen is hanging by a shoe string and the city mission is always in need.

So many people that need help just go down the river.
And there are so many more than we will ever know about.

Funding to take care of our people - NO.
Just money for war.

3. I am late in replying, but I was amazed & saddened by the response
to this article. There were numerous LTTE stating what a waste of space the article was. Most people want to pretend people like this do not exist.

4. That is unfortuneate.
In my opinion, it is a great, sad story and any news outlet that printed it should be applauded.
