COUNCIL BLUFFS - A Council Bluffs man will serve up to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting his wife.
Travis Frey on the witness stand in March.
Travis Frey, 33, was convicted in March of third-degree sexual abuse. He was accused of tying up his wife and sexually assaulting his wife in April 2005.
Prosecutors also said that Frey gave his wife a bizarre document listing "wifely expectations" that he wanted her to meet.
Frey had been charged with first-degree kidnapping, but the jury found Frey guilty of the lesser charge because jurors said there was no evidence that he had actually tied up his wife.
As part of the sentence Monday, District Court Judge James Heckerman said Frey would need to attend a sex offender treatment program.
