Kleeb’s starting over; he’s also to be married
(Cross-posted from GD:P. :hi: Nebraska! )

02/28/2007
KEARNEY — The Democrat who tallied 90,000 votes in the 2006 election in Nebraska’s Republican-dominated 3rd Congressional District said he plans to run again.

But first, Scott Kleeb wants to take a walk down the aisle.

<snip>

Kleeb announced at the meeting of the Buffalo County Democrats that he plans to marry Jane Fleming, a political activist and executive director of Young Democrats of America. YDA, whose members are younger than age 36, is the youth arm of the Democratic Party.

<snip>

Although he promised he would campaign again, he declined to say when or for what office. “I will run again. I don’t know if it’s two years or 20 years. I learned too much. I don’t know what I’ll run for, but I can say my commitment will be complete.”

1. Oh, damn...
He's going to lose the "I know nothing about politics, but that boy is cute and single" vote! ;)

But good for him, seriously. He should run for governor, get statewide recognition, then run for senate. In my humble opinion, of course.

:hi: Heidi!

2. If Hagel retires or runs for President and vacates his seat
Then I say run for the Senate but if he dosen't go ahead and take another swing at Adrian Smith in NE-3 but I have to remind him beating Smith will be much tougher in 2008 then it was in 2006 since 2008 is a presidental year which means more Republicans will be coming out in drones to support Smith.

But regardless of what office he runs for I just want to say that Scott Kleeb is an excellent choice to for for and even though I live in PA you can bet i'll be sending a couple of bucks along Scott's way.
