Cook upgrades 2nd district to "Likely Republican"

This is from an e-mail I received from the Jim Esch campaign - "I wanted to share some exciting news with you today. Two years ago, we surprised a lot of people with our grassroots campaign. With no help from the national party, little media attention, and limited financial resources, we came closer than any campaign in a decade to restoring real leadership to the House of Representatives in Nebraska's Second District.

It shouldn't come as any surprise then that we are starting to gain some national attention. Just last week, the Cook Political Report upgraded our chances of victory in this race from “solid Republican” to “likely Republican.” The prognosticators and pundits are simply catching up to what is happening in this district right now. We know that with the power of supporters like you, our campaign will succeed."

If Esch can harness the same people that voted for him last time, and the people that are coming out for Obama, we're looking at a real chance for an amazing win.
