Looking for general home price/area info. for Reno area

I'm thinking of moving back to Nevada after a 10+ year absence. I'm not sure if I'd be working in the Carson City or Reno area, but if anyone would care to offer any general insights into current home prices (3 bedroom/2 car garage type homes) in family friendly/safe areas I'd appreciate it.

I've looked online, but there is no context regarding the quality of neighborhoods, etc. I'm just looking for some very general ideas of areas/prices. Thanks!
