Self-Proclaimed "War Hero" Gibbons (Puke-NV) Runs on Terra Platform
What a disgusting monkey this guy is! His campaign commercials are all over the Las Vegas TV stations. The spot opens with a play to the fear of terrorism with flags waving and old people smiling.

Go to his website and you'll have to drill down a few windows and look at the small print to figure out that he's a Repuke. His website also contains his latest TV ad, but every time I try to view it my computer bombs.

Proof positive that the Rove doctrine of running on the fear of terra is alive and well in Nevada.

Here's the link if you dare (but watch out for that computer-killing ad in the left hand column): http://gibbonsfornevada.com/

1. He's trying to boost name recognition for the '06 gov race
Rove and Co. wanted Gibbons to challenge Harry Reid this year, but Gibbons opted out in favor of a governor's bid in '06, an open race with Kenny Guinn finishing his second term. Gibbons has billboards in Las Vegas this cycle, plus the TV ads you mention. In reality, he doesn't need to spend a nickel in '04, so it's primarily geared to '06.

An Oscar Goodman/Jim Gibbons gov race would be extremely interesting. Goodman is so popular is Las Vegas as a celebrity mayor, who is not really not associated with either party by the typical Las Vegan, that Gibbons knows he has to make inroads in southern Nevada now.

2. Is Yucca in Gibbons' district?
I know that it's (literally) as popular as radioactive sludge in NV.

3. nope, it's not in his district but gold mining is
and this fathead has all but been promised the governor seat. You'll be seeing this idiot's sudden interest in Las Vegas water grabbing habits for rural Nevada's water. Harry Reid has a unique bill moving forward to allow the Southern Nevada Water Authority to put a water utility pipeline easement in a Wilderness Study Area for the first time ever in order to let them suck rural Nevada dry. Where's Gibbons on this issue? He'll support the pipeline for Las Vegas, otherwise, how will he get their votes? His usual tactic is to join Reid and limiting the price paid by international gold mines to take billions of dollars in minerals out of public land in Nevada and send it bye-freaking-bye. Such a generous and holy alliance.

here's an interesting look at the Nevada presidential race with Yucca Mountain as an overlying issue.

5. how many of you remember that Gibbons
went to Iraq the summer of 2003 to look for WMD?? Just think, he should have told us then that there didn't find anything. Also, he leaked info up here in sagebrush buttscrew land and said in May that he had been told personally by the Bush administration about where the WMD was but it was so highly confidential, that the Bushbrushes weren't ready to release the info to the public. I guess the news in the past 24 hours kinda means he is a dumb wad. And this guy wants to be our governor?? Fuck. I'll vote for the Las Vegas mayor.

6. Yucca's in his district!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's compare some maps:

Yucca Mountain

Nevada Congressional Districts:

Everything outside of Clark County belongs to Gibbons as well as some northern bits of Clark.

And, btw, we don't HAVE to hand over the Governor's Mansion to him. Dina Titus might prove a winner.
