Why did Reid approve Goss?
Some people have mentioned that Dems up for re-election approved Goss while those not running didn't, but it still makes no sense. Reid seems incredibly safe, and I don't see how Goss would be a popular choice that the people, particularly of Nevada, would rally behind. Defending voting against an insanley partisian man who is on tape talking about how he isn't qualified for the job seems like an easy task. Why would any Dem vote for Goss?

Backroom deals? The repugs don't seem to be behind Ziser. Is Harry giving them something in return like a vote for Goss? I don't get it.

2. Yes, he is giving them something...
Harry is all about what is good for Harry. I firmly believe he cut some kind of deal with Republicans because he was almost beaten the last time around.
