Or I guess I should say, Rove a Reno-ite did.

We need to be remembering these comments on November 3rd.

President asks about fraudulent registration

By ADRIENNE PACKER
REVIEW-JOURNAL

President Bush expressed concern about continuing voter registration irregularities in Clark County, top state officials said Tuesday.

"He was concerned about election registration fraud in Southern Nevada," Attorney General Brian Sandoval said.

Sandoval, who joined Secretary of State Dean Heller in the president's limousine, said he told Bush the Nevada Division of Investigations, the investigative arm of the Department of Public Safety, is on the case.

"He said they're also talking about sending federal agents here to help out with the investigation," Sandoval said Bush told him.

Fake voter registration forms dogged the Clark County elections office this summer until Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax publicized the illegal activity.

1. Funny that he isn't concerned about people being turned away
The Republicans had people refusing to register people that weren't Republicans. Or how about the Secretary of State that purchased all our voting machines went to speak at a Bush/Cheney event. Dan Burk had enough of a problem with Republicans refusing to register people that he called for an FBI probe. Why isn't Bush concerned about that? If you aren't driving people to the polls on election day, everyone here should make themselves available to the Dems, or groups like ACT to monitor the polls because we know the republicans will be out there trying to intimidate voters at Democratic precincts.

Activist challenges voter registrations

LAS VEGAS SUN

A Republican activist has challenged 17,100 Democratic voter registrations, saying he hopes to tip the outcome of several local races in favor of Republicans.

Dan Burdish, former executive director of the Nevada Republican Party, said he challenged voters with "inactive" status, meaning the county elections department has determined that they no longer live at the address where they are registered.

But the county could give him a fight. Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said this morning that the district attorney is reviewing the challenges and likely will send Burdish a letter today.
